INGREDIENT
- Flour – all-purpose flour
- Baking powder
- Salt
- Butter – salted butter
- Breakfast sausage – mild breakfast sausage
- Cheese – grated Colby-Jack cheese
- Hash browns – frozen hash browns
- Cream cheese
- Parsley – fresh parsley
Instructions
STEP 1:
Preheat oven to 400°F. Line two cookie sheets with parchment paper and set aside.
STEP 2:
In the bowl of a stand mixer or large mixing bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt.
STEP 3:
Drizzle melted butter into the flour mixture while the mixer is running to form a crumbled mixture.
STEP 3: Add grated cheese, sausage, hash browns, and cream cheese then beat until fully mixed. Be sure to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl with a spatula and beat a bit longer to make sure all the flour from the bottom of the bowl has been incorporated.
STEP 4: Use a cookie scoop or tablespoon to scoop balls of the mixture. Place scoops 1 inch apart on prepared cookie sheets. You can roll the balls in your hands to make them more smooth and compact, but this isn’t necessary.
STEP 5: Bake for 25 minutes or until lightly browned.
STEP 6: Remove from oven. Garnish with a bit of finely chopped parsley.
STEP 7: Serve hot.
