Tanzanian Government Sponsors Fans to Witness Yanga’s Match in South Africa

 

THE MINISTRY OF CULTURE, ARTS AND SPORTS has helped pay for the transportation of 55 fans of the Yanga team to South Africa in the second game of the semi-final stage of the African Confederation Cup (CAF) while the Deputy Minister of the Ministry Hon. Hamis Mwinjuma hoping to lead the expedition.

This has been stated by the Secretary General of the ministry, Saidi Yakubu as a measure to support the Yanga team who expect to play the second game of the semi-final stage of the African Confederation Cup against the Marumo Gallants team in a game scheduled to be played on May 17 2023 at The Royal Bafokeng Stadium located in the city of Rustenburg in the country.

Yakubu has said that the Government has supported the trip by sending some 55 fans who will leave on Sunday May 14, 2023 and will join Tanzanians living in South Africa to give the players enough motivation to win the important game leading to the final stage of the competition.

“This trip the Government has helped Yanga to send some 55 fans who will leave tomorrow Sunday for South Africa and there they will join the Tanzanians living in South Africa to ensure that they provide enough support, I have spoken to the Ambassador and they are prepared to receive them because they have also arranged buses from every city to ensure that the Tanzanians are many”

The Secretary General added that “In these matches, anything can happen but the Government together with Yanga through different departments are well prepared, Minister Hon. Ambassador Dr. Pindi Chana gives many greetings, congratulations and wishes you victory in the return game. Deputy Minister Hon. Hamisi Mwinjuma he will join you on the side of the Government and he likes to stay with the fans and cheer all the time,” said Yakubu.

On his part, the Chief Executive of the Yanga team, Andrew Ntime has said that they as a team are well prepared to ensure that they get results in the game while thanking the Government for being at the forefront throughout the competition and giving its contribution to taking the fans to the game of repetition.
